Merry Christmas, Wesołych Świąt in Rupinow, & The Boys Are Hot!! - Blog #46 (Dec. 16 - 28)
Basketball Update: We had two home games that sandwiched Christmas since my last blog... and I stayed out of foul trouble in BOTH of them if you can believe it. Our first game was on the 22nd. We played the top budget team in the league, Anwil. They are in a unique situation because they fired their coach a few days before our game. However, the fired coach was literally a dead man walking in the game against us because the new coach is unavailable until New Year's. It is a v

Quick Trip Back to Amsterdam, Chavaughn's Debut, and Home Win Vs. Ostrow - Blog #45 (Dec. 8 - 15 '25)
Basketball Update: This week started a big stretch of home games for us, and it was also our first game with our new player, Chavaughn Lewis. We added him a week or so ago, and he is a much needed addition for our squad. Ostrow is below us in the standings, but they had just beaten our next opponent, Anwil, who has the top budget in the league by twenty at their place. I played really well in the first half, but I ended up fouling out on a BS call with nine minutes left in th

Solo Travel to Berlin and Massive Road W in Słupsk - Blog #44 (Nov. 27 - Dec. 7, '25)
Basketball Update: We had a big matchup this week (I know I say this a lot, but this one really was, I promise) on the road at Słupsk (pronounced Swoopsk). They were one game ahead of us in the standings, and their gym is notoriously difficult to play in. Their fans are probably the best in the league, besides ours, of course, and the gym itself is very weird. One side is wooden with red seats that go all the way to the roof, and the other side only has about ten rows worth o

International Break, Trip to Krakow, and Night in Zakopane - Blog #43 (Nov. 9 - 26)
Sorry for the delay in posting. I wanted to do a two week blog before international break, and then, Nikki and I ended up travelling at the beginning of last week. I figured I would just include it all this week. We should be back to our regularly scheduled program! Basketball Update: Since my last blog, we played two games. Both games were on the road, our first was at Lublin. Lublin is a good club that was in the finals last year and won the Polish Supercup at the beginning

Bowling, Time in ZG, and Tough Home Loss - Blog #42 (Nov. 2 - 8)
Basketball Update: We lost to a really good Legia team who, as I mentioned last week, are the reigning champs and are undefeated. We hung in the game for a while, but they showed in the 2nd half why they're undefeated and pulled away from us to win pretty handily. We had a great home crowd of about five thousand. The fans really showed out, so it sucked to lose in front of them. I played probably my best offensive game of the season but was not great on defense. We lost 71 -

Kórnik Castle & Road Game at Szczecin - Blog #41 (Oct. 27 - Nov. 2)
Basketball Update: Our much-anticipated matchup against Szczecin was on Saturday. It was really cool to see Coach, Andy, Phil, and Fifi back where they won a championship three years ago. They did a nice tribute to them before the game and gifted them each a nice picture frame. We started out the game pretty solid. They slowly built a lead in the first half, and we were down eight going into the break. They blew things open in the second half and at one point led by over twen

Huge Home W & Nikki Birthday Week - Blog #40 (Oct. 20 - 26)
Basketball Update: We had a huge matchup against MKS on our home floor on Sunday. It was our third game at home out of the four we have had, so it was important for us to win in front of our fans because we have failed to do so thus far. We have had such great crowds for our home games this year, so we really wanted to get one at home for the fans. We started the game very sloppily and got down a bit early. I got in foul trouble again in the first half which sucked. I do like

Two Game Week & John Wooden Lessons - Blog #39 (Oct. 6 - 19)
Basketball Update: I did not post a blog last week because we did not have a game, and then, I was busy with two games as well. Then, I finished my blog, but the whole thing was deleted, so this is my second revision of this blog. Sorry for the delay! Our first game of the week and first road game of the season was in Gliwice. We had a great start to the game and controlled throughout. We played much better than our first game of the year, and controlled the game the whole ti
